Vol. 1 | The First On The Runs Newsletter
September 16th, 2026

Welcome everyone to our first newsletter! We're not so sure what we should call this. Maybe you can help us come up with a fun creative name? Like the Stoolie News? The PodFam Times? Stoolie Nuggets? Let us know your name suggestions and we'll put it to a Instagram vote!
We plan to share a bi-weekly newsletter with quick recaps, some flashbacks to the past and maybe some hints about future episodes or plans. We might even ask some of you to write training blogs to drop the weeks this newsletter doesn't. Please provide any feedback or ideas you might like to see in our newsletter as it’s being developed.
Needless to say, we're wicked excited for this. This is a bigger deal for us than most would probably think. We hope you enjoy it as it's just another step in expanding our growth and reach. Thank you as always for all your support, continue to share your love for the pod to those who you think will enjoy this! Enjoy the first volume of the soon to be named newsletter!
SUMMER RECAP!
SUMMER OF LOVE SERIES
Based on the feedback, everyone really enjoyed the 2026 “Summer of Love” series. We had seven couples sharing their stories of running, resiliency, & romance. These episodes were worth the views on YouTube to see how each couple interacts with their partner. Thank you to all our couples for sharing their love stories with the pod fam. Plans are to have more couples share their stories in 2027!
Ep 242 - Tracy & Eric: A code brown shirt burial story bound for the “Best Of” list :-)
Ep 243 - Anna & Dylan: A Boston Marathon marriage proposal and true adventurers :-)
Ep 244 - Ashley & Matt Paulson: A hilarious code brown story involving love, anticipation, and a birthday suit :-)
Ep 245 - Yuki & Eric: Hear about Eric’s all-star support racking up frequent “driver” miles :-)
Ep 246 - Katie & Mike: Great story on how they got together through an ex :-)
Ep 249 - Kathy & Patrick: Bet nobody had a “mother-of the-bride dress fire” on their bingo card :-)
Ep 251 - Jen & Eddie: Jen - Would you like to join our “Reach the Beach” team? Eddie: No :-)
LIVE SHOWS

What a year, 12 LIVE shows in the the last 12 months! Thank you to the many guests who visited our tent and shared stories during the August live shows at the Delta Dental Elliot Corporate 5K that Millennium Running set up. We also got to selebrate our 250 episode and the 3rd anniversary of the Salem Run Club LIVE from the Tuscan Village in Salem, NH. Our network is growing with a list of future guests for their own episode. We’re also looking to expand into additional live shows.

SEPTEMBER GUEST FEATURE
Do you know anyone who ran cross-country, indoor track, & outdoor track for their high school while in middle school?
Now we know!
Do you know any two-time NCAA All-American runners?
Now we know!
Do you know anyone who qualified for the 2004 Olympic trials in the 5000 meters?
Now we know!
It was our honor to have the talented Jennifer Mortimer be our guest on the pod in September. Jennifer brought her genuine passion about all things running yet shared “it’s not necessarily who she is.” Make sure you tune into our wonderful conversation as she explains the many hats she wears while motivating us with “You can do it and do great at it.”
Now we all know!
Thank you Jen, we're excited to officially have you join our PodFam
SHOUT-OUTS

We want to give shout-outs to our pod fam here in this section. We’ll be listening for accomplishments but would appreciate it if you would let us know your, your friend’s, or your partner’s recent accomplishments deserving a shoutout!
We’ll start this off with congratulating our own Six Star Erika on her Sydney Marathon and hence her 7th star. She will remain “Six Star” but be “Seven Star” in our hearts (no she did not write this about herself - lol). Episode coming soon to recap her trip to Sydney!

Brady McDonald (Ep 117)
Have you seen what Brady is up too? He's running a 50k in 50 States in 50 days. Traveling the country in a RV with his family to raise money for Make A Wish. Their goal is to help grant 100 wishes. He ran in New Hampshire with the Governor, Kelly Ayotte in her home town of Nashua. He also ran in Utah with a PodFam Alumni, Ashley Paulson! Their journey ended on September 12 but you can still support and help them reach their goal.
All Star Co-host! Thank you Tara and Chad Ultra for filling in while Six Star was away! Did you hear the news they both dropped? Tara will NEVER run a Marathon again and Chad Ultra plans to run a 200 Miler next year.
What do you think, Will Tara run a Marathon again after Chicago and will Chad get his 200 miler completed. Let us know what you think?
Thank You Sponsors!
We want to give a big shoutout to those who have supported us especially this summer! Back in Action Chiro NH, My Race Tatts and OOFOS for supporting the Summer of Love Series. And Millennium Running (Congrats on Reach the Beach!) for their continued support at the LIVE shows! If you're able we would love for you to support these partnerships we've built and tell them that you heard them on the pod!

We hope you enjoyed our first Newsletter! Keep sharing the pod with those you think will love it and we'll continue this amazing growth and reach we've been seeing!
Best of luck to everyone training for their fall marathons and any upcoming fall race. Be smart about safety, hydration, and minimizing your code brown events as best as possible. Take care of each other and we’ll be back in a couple weeks.
